About AMRET
The trust is managed by a board of trustees that include:
Dr Ajay Mathur
Dr Prunima Mathur
Ms. Divya Mathur
The board is guided by an advisory panel of specialists in the fields of medical research, virology and immunology. Professor Mathur's friends and close associates on the advisory board ensure that the trust remains close to Professor Mathur's ideals that guided her personal and professional life.
AMRET has established the "Professor Asha Mathur Research Grant" (AMRG), an annual scholarship with the aim to promote microbiology research at KGMU for postgraduate students. This collaboration between AMRET and KGMU celebrates Professor Asha Mathur's legacy and aims to advance research in microbiology.
"Society has given me so much unconditionally which has made me all the more generous and humble".
Professor Asha Mathur
AMRG Scholarship
AMRET invites scholarship applications from committed medical researchers who are keen to further their career goals and excel in the fields of microbiology, virology and immunology. The AMRG scholarship may fund research activities, travel for conferences and resource procurement.
Any JR/SR/PhD students in Microbiology, who are interested to compete for the AMRG, can write a short-term research proposal, not directly linked to their MD/PhD thesis, under a mentor, who will be faculty of the Department of Microbiology, KGMU. The scholarship requires recipients to present annual research updates.
A Scholarship Committee comprising members from KGMU and AMRET will oversee the selection process based on student proposals.
